Abstract

Growth Response of Cacao Seedlings (Theobroma cacao L.) To Application of Cocopeat Growing Media and Roasted Husk. The aim is to find out the Effect of Giving Cocopeat and Fuel Husk Planting Media and Their Interactions. This research was carried out in Sisingamangaraja XII Tapanuli University Land with an Altitude of ± 1400m above sea level. The design used in this study was a two-factorial randomized block design (RBD) with three repetitions. The data were processed using DMRT at 5% Duncan's test. Factor I Cocopeat (C) Consists of 4 Levels: C0 = 0 gr/polybag (control), C1 = 100 gr/polybag, C2 = 200 gr/polybag, C3 = 300 gr/polybag. Factor II Fuel Husk (S) Consists of 4 Levels: S0 = 0 gr/polybag (control), S1 = 50 gr/polybag, S2 = 100 gr/polybag, S3 = 150 gr/polybag. The results showed that the interaction between C3 = 300 gr/polybag and S3 = 150 gr/polybag had the best effect on the parameters observed, including: plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), number of leaves (strands), root length (cm), root weight (gr), plant weight (gr). The results that have been obtained by the research show that the application of cocopeat and fuel husk growing media has a very significant effect on plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, root length, root weight and plant weight.
