Abstract

Response of Growth and Production of Sweet Corn (Zea mays L. Saccharta Struts) on Eucalyptus Stand Path with Tillage Treatment and Inorganic Fertilizer. The purpose of the study was to determine the response of growth and production of sweet corn grown in the line of eucalyptus stands with tillage treatment and inorganic fertilizer dosage. This research was conducted on the land of the company PT. Toba Pulp Lestari located in Hutagalung Village, Harian District, Samosir Regency at an altitude of ± 1,675 m above sea level, Ultisol soil type with a soil pH of 5.59. The design in the factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) research consisted of 2 factors with 3 replications and the data was processed by ANOVA and continued with DMRT at 5% and 1% levels. Factor I is tillage consisting of 3 levels, namely T0 (no tillage/no tillage), T1 (limited tillage/minimum tillage/one time tillage), T2 (perfect tillage/full traditional tillage/twice tillage) . Factor II dose of inorganic NPK fertilizer is N0 (without fertilization (control), N1 = 150 kg/ha (135 g/plot or 2.8 g/plant), N2 = 300 kg/ha (270 g/plot or 5.6 g/plant), N3= 450 kg/ha (405 g/plot or 8.4 g/plant). The parameters observed were plant length (cm), number of leaves (strands), stem diameter (cm), flowering age (days), harvest age (days), production per sample (gr) and production per plot (kg). The results of analysis of variance showed that two perfect tillage treatments for sweet corn planted between eucalyptus stands had a very significant effect on plant length of 149.65 cm, number of leaves 13.29 strands, stem diameter 3.15 cm, the fastest flowering age of 75.98 days and age. the fastest harvest was 75.98 cm and had no significant effect on production per sample (gr) and production per plot (kg). The treatment of inorganic fertilizer NPK 450 kg/ha (N3) = 405 g/plot or 8.4 g/plant very significant effect on plant length 162.29 cm, number of leaves 13.53 strands, stem diameter 3.24 cm, the fastest flowering age 45.71 days and harvest age fastest 74.87 days and no significant effect on production per sample (gr) and production per plot (kg).
