PERKEMBANGAN PENYAKIT HAWAR DAUN (Helminthosporium turcicum) TERHADAP PEMBERIAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR DAUN GAMAL DAN PUPUK KANDANG AYAM PADA TANAMAN JAGUNG (Zea mays L.)

Abstract

The development of leaf blight (Helminthosporium turcicum) on the application of liquid organic fertilizer of gamal leaves and chicken manure on maize (Zea mays L.). The purpose of this study was to determine the development of leaf blight (Helminthosporium turcicum) on the application of liquid and solid organic fertilizers to maize (Zea mays L.). The research was carried out on the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sisingamngaraja XII Tapanuli University, at an altitude of ± 1,400 m above sea level. The design used in this study was a factorial randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The data were processed by ANOVA and followed by DMRT at 5% and 1% levels. Factor I POC Gamal Leaf Symbol (G) consisted of 4 levels: G0 = 0 kg/plot (control), G1 = 0.54 kg/plot, G2 = 1.08 kg/plot, G3 = 1.62 kg/plot. Factor II Symbol Chicken Manure (A) consists of 4 levels: A0 = 0 kg/plot (control), A1 = 3.6 kg/plot, A2 = 7.2 kg/plot, A3 = 10.8 kg/plot). Parameters observed were plant length (cm), stem diameter (cm), cob weight per plot (kg), disease incidence (%) and disease severity (%). The results of the analysis of variance showed that the combination of liquid and solid organic fertilizer treatments on the growth and production of maize showed a very significant effect produced by the combination of 1.6 kg of gamal leaf POC/plot with 1.08 kg of chicken manure/plot (G3A3), i.e. length 212.80 cm plant, followed by 2.68 cm stem diameter, 8.94 kg cob weight per plot and able to control and no incidence and severity of leaf blight was 0.00%.
